The RTDS Remote Tamperproof Time Delay Switches provide timed control for lighting, heating and ventilation loads. They are simple to install and are available in either 2-wire (RTDS2) or 3-wire (RTDS3) versions.
The RTDS2 Remote Tamperproof Time Delay Switch provides timed control for lighting, heating and ventilation loads. They are simple to install and does not require a mains Neutral connection and so can directly replace an existing light switch (providing the minimum load limit is satisfied).
The remote time delay switches are designed for installations that require a time delay switch with a remotely located pushbutton or an interface to another control system such as a BMS. They are therefore supplied with a bare faceplate which is vandal resistant and tamperproof and can be conveniently installed away from the load it is switching.
The load is turned on and the time delay is activated by momentarily shorting the internally located electrical contacts. The load will automatically switch off after the pre-selected delay has elapsed. The time delay can be adjusted via an internal thumbwheel from 6 seconds to 60 minutes. Other time delay periods are available upon request at time of purchase (3 seconds to 30 minutes, 12 seconds to 120 minutes).
The RTDS2 fits into all British Standard single-gang pattress boxes with a minimum depth of 20mm. Easy to install and operate it provides an accurate and cost effective solution to reducing energy consumption.
RTDS2: 2-wire version (Live In, Live Out), no neutral wire needed. Please note a minimum load of 40W is required. Power factor correction capacitors may be required for compact fluorescent installations.
RTDS3: 3-wire version (Live, Neutral, Output), mains neutral required. No minimum load restrictions apply.
