Like our E816 standard Set-Back Thermostat, the E818/24V/RS regulates room temperatures to two different temperatures, a low temperature Set-Back and a higher boost temperature Setpoint.
Like our E816 standard Set-Back Thermostat, the E818/24V/RS regulates room temperatures to two different temperatures, a low temperature Set-Back and a higher boost temperature Setpoint.
Instead of a pushbutton which is used to toggle between the two temperature levels, the E818/24V/RS utilises a Remote Control Input which selects between the high and low temperature levels through the user making and breaking the two remote control contacts.
Typical interfaces to the Remote Control Input may be through a time clock, PIR motion detector, BMS relay output, mechanical toggle switch, magnetic door contact etc. This unique feature can eliminate the user interface for switching between the high and low modes, so providing an effective solution to the automation of heating areas that are infrequently occupied.
24 Volt (/24V)
This thermostat is designed to operate from a 24 volt (AC or DC) power source (instead of the standard operating voltage of 230V AC). This is primarily used for low-voltage systems such as under-floor heating.
Remote Sensor (/RS)
This thermostat is designed to be operated in conjunction with a remotely located temperature sensor and therefore does not include the integral temperature sensor within the thermostat body. This provides additional flexibility so that the temperature sensor can be optimally located in the room while the thermostat body is mounted where it is necessary to do so, for example beside a heater or in a riser cupboard.
A choice of standard remote sensors are available, but we can also accommodate to your custom enclosures please contact us to discuss your requirements with one of our design engineers.
* NOTE – A remote sensor MUST be selected from the accessories section in addition to the main thermostat unit.
