Like our E816 standard Set-Back Thermostat, the E818/F regulates room temperatures to two different temperatures, a low temperature ‘Set-Back’ and a higher boost temperature ‘Setpoint’.

Instead of a pushbutton which is used to toggle between the two temperature levels, the E818/F utilises a Remote Control Input which selects between the high and low temperature levels through the user making and breaking the two remote control contacts.

Typical interfaces to the Remote Control Input may be through a time clock, PIR motion detector, BMS relay output, mechanical toggle switch, magnetic door contact etc. This unique feature can eliminate the user interface for switching between the high and low modes, so providing an effective solution to the automation of heating areas that are infrequently occupied.

Frost (/F)
This thermostat offers a much lower thermostatic control range of -2°C to +12°C. The unit operates as normal but has a lower temperature setpoint, primarily used for frost protection.
