The set-back feature of the E816/F/RS incorporates two different temperature setpoint levels within one thermostat offering a cost effective and efficient solution to heating or air conditioning areas that are only occasionally occupied, or scenarios where a boost feature is required.

The E816/F/RS thermostat regulates to one of two temperature levels which the user is able to select between by pushing the button on the side of the unit. LED indicators illuminate to clearly identify which mode the unit is in.

Full adjustment of the two temperature levels can be achieved only through adjusting internal thumbwheels located inside the tamperproof unit, so preventing unauthorised modification to the thermostat’s configuration.

Frost (/F)
This thermostat offers a much lower thermostatic control range of -2°C to +12°C. The unit operates as normal but has a lower temperature setpoint, primarily used for frost protection.

Remote Sensor (/RS)
This thermostat is designed to be operated in conjunction with a remotely located temperature sensor and therefore does not include the integral temperature sensor within the thermostat body. This provides additional flexibility so that the temperature sensor can be optimally located in the room while the thermostat body is mounted where it is necessary to do so, for example beside a heater or in a riser cupboard.
